Senior Fullstack Developer / Software Architect (m/f/d)

Köln
Start date: as of today

About Us

At our Convidera Campus in Cologne we set up Innovation Labs in cooperation with leading medium-sized companies: Here, digital projects are continuously developed, from the idea to the implementation. With us, the strengths of an established market leader are combined with the agility and spirit of a start-up. Therefore, we are looking for You: As a Senior Fullstack Developer / Architect (m/f/d) with passion, you work with us in an agile, multidisciplinary team.

As a part of a digital-oriented family, we often find ourselves working in multiple projects spanning multiple domains. This gives us the opportunity to use the right solution for the right problem. To be good at that, we foster continuous learning and have built a fail-safe environment for team building and learning. We are not eager just want to know ‘what’ - we want to understand ‘why’.

What are Your tasks

  • Lead the entire web application development life cycle right from ideation to releases and feedbacks
  • Build the right solutions for the right problems
  • Maximize speed and measurability of applications
  • Support the development of complex technical web-based software projects
  • Help to ensure the technical feasibility of UX/UI designs, graphic standards and brand consistency
  • Work and communicate closely with all developers and product designers to deliver web products on time, on budget and in high quality
  • Implement screen designs in modern interfaces
  • Develop new user-friendly functions together with a squad team
  • Improve our code quality and learning opportunity
  • Build a family of great developers

What we offer You

Real Responsibility and room for your personal growth.
What exactly is ‘Responsibility’? How is this determined? Is there a general rule for identifying this? If there is, how do you teach this to your junior colleagues? As aptly put by Tom Hombergs: “Sadly, it's very easy for a reason to change to propagate through code via the dependencies of a component to other components.” (Tom Hombergs, Get Your Hands Dirty on Clean Architecture, Ch. 2).
Considering this, would you ever consider it okay for changes in a dependent component to also be an additional reason for another component to change? To you, does this violate SRP? How would you like to give a 15 mins internal tech talk about your opinion every other week? This is the environment we are actively pushing to create, balancing “doing the right thing” with “doing things right”.

And in addition

  • An international competent team that finds solutions in an independent way of working, enthusiastically supports you and relies on flat hierarchies.
  • Cutting edge technology and state-of-the-art working environment
  • A comprehensive education and training program for your individual professional development.
  • Flexible trusted working hours and the possibility to work smart from anywhere.
  • A committed, relaxed corporate culture without a dress code, with fresh fruits, water, soda and endless coffee.
  • Stylish offices in the heart of Cologne with a loft, roof terraces and our Digital Campus.

What we expect from You

  • Deep understanding and programming capability in PHP or similar backend technologies (Laravel is a plus) and good understanding with programming capability in at least one of the leading frontend frameworks (vue, react, angular)...
  • … or deep understanding and programming capability in at least one of the leading frontend frameworks (vue, react, angular) and good understanding with programming capability in PHP or similar backend technologies (Laravel is a plus)
